Leeann Rae

Leeann Rae is an artist based in Orlando, Florida. Leeann is a recent graduate of the MFA Studio Art and Design program at the University of Central Florida. During her time in this program, she was awarded the College of Arts and Humanities scholarship and a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. As she was attending graduate school, Leeann taught many classes and found a love for teaching drawing and design at the collegiate level. Leeann’s artistic practice is based in drawing. She constructs large-scale drawings using charcoal and soft pastels to interpret how we understand our inherently flawed memory. Leeann recently exhibited in Fresh Squeezed 7 at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg Florida, Drawing Discourse at the University of North Carolina Asheville which was curated and juried by Charles Ritchie who is the Associate Curator of American and Modern Prints and Drawings National Gallery of Art, Washington, and Art Fields in Lake City South Carolina.
