My work delves deeply into the intricate terrain of memory, probing its elusive nature. Drawing from a mosaic of influences including photographic references, imaginative impulses, recounted stories, and the tapestry of my own lived experiences. I develop drawn images imbued with layers of personal meaning, their essence echoing the haunting persistence of memory itself. These materials are chosen for their capacity to resist erasure and retain traces of my creative process. This imparts upon my work a spectral quality—an ethereal residue that lingers, much like the lingering imprint of memory upon my mind. Through my drawings, I seek not only to explore the intricacies of memory but also to ignite a profound dialogue on the ways in which memory shapes our understanding of the self and reality.
